Methodology
Assessment 2.0.0 · Scoring agency-signal-v1
What the assessment contains
Two intake questions (unscored) followed by twelve scored questions: for each of six capacities, one recent-behavior question about the past 30 days and one scenario question.
The six capacities
- Discernment: Separate evidence, inference, assumptions, and unknowns.
- Taste: Define what good means for this audience and outcome.
- Creative Confidence: Contribute a perspective AI could not supply alone.
- Critical Decision-Making: Choose through priorities, boundaries, and tradeoffs.
- Agency: Convert insight into owned, time-bound action.
- Authority: Explain, defend, and own the final result.
How scoring works
Each answer is worth 0 to 3. A capacity score is the sum of its two answers divided by six, expressed as a whole number from 0 to 100. Your Agency Signal is the average of the six capacity scores. Scoring is deterministic: the same answers always produce the same result.
Bands are developmental stages, not grades: Responding (0–24), Experimenting (25–49), Directing (50–74), Stewarding (75–100). Your strength is your highest capacity. Below 75, your Agency Edge identifies one developmental priority; at 75 or above, it becomes a Growth Focus for keeping strong practice visible and repeatable. Because Discernment and Authority carry the most risk when weak, either one below 50 becomes your Agency Edge.
Limitations
- · Answers are self-reported and reflect one moment in time.
- · Twelve items give a signal, not a comprehensive profile.
- · This is not a certification, a validated psychometric instrument, an intelligence measure, or an assessment of employment fitness.
- · Results are meant to guide practice over the next seven days.
This is a developmental signal based on your current responses—not a measure of intelligence, human worth, or certified professional competence.
